$275.00
sold out

Created to commemorate the 250th Anniversary of American Independence, this limited edition doll honors the quiet strength and artistry of the women whose hands shaped a nation long before history recorded their names.

Inspired by the needleworkers of Colonial America, she is dressed in a carefully constructed ensemble featuring an indigo blue bodice with cream sleeves, a tea stained striped skirt in period-inspired tones, and a handcrafted ivory stomacher adorned with cotton lace and a miniature cameo encased in a metal setting — a subtle symbol of hope, unity, and emerging identity.

Each element of her costume has been thoughtfully chosen for historical authenticity and heirloom quality, from the natural cotton and linen fabrics to the restrained detailing that reflects the dignity of everyday colonial life. This doll does not portray a historical figure, but rather represents the countless women whose skill, perseverance, and quiet devotion contributed to the birth of a nation.

Handcrafted by Brenda Mize, each doll in this edition is signed and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. She sits on a hand assembled and stained wooden-like chair.

This commemorative doll is not a toy, but a work of art — created to be treasured, preserved, and passed down as a reminder that history is often shaped not only by great events, but by steady hands and patient stitches.

Each doll is fully handcrafted, sealed, and assembled by Brenda Mize herself, ensuring every detail radiates heirloom quality. Perfect for collectors who appreciate artistry, tradition, and timeless spirit.

★★★★★ Prudence takes us back in time to the birth of our country to celebrate the 250th Anniversary of American Independence. She is a precious doll meticulously handcrafted by the very talented American doll artist, Brenda Mize. Prudence has a thoughtful expression on her lovely lifelike face, and her exquisite blue eyes seem to reflect the importance of the flag she is creating. Prudence represents and honors the women who constructed our flag after America achieved its independence. The clothing worn by Prudence is handmade by Brenda and reflects historical accuracy in its style. Brenda chose natural cotton and linen to construct the clothing since those fabrics were traditionally worn in Colonial America. The red, white, and blue colors of the clothing are a reminder of the colors of our flag. Prudence also wears a softly gathered lace cap that is representative of that worn in Colonial America. I was fascinated by the boots Prudence wears due to the side button closure. This extraordinary commemorative doll is a treasure for collectors and a gentle reminder of the beginning of our country.
